We reached Voku past 16 o'clock in the afternoon with quite a bit of hunger brought with us. Reading the few but highly praising reviews we were left with the wish of trying out this bistro, considering the vegetarian choices. The place was empty with only one employee around. He did become quite useful and treated us with a good amount of respect. We went for the burgers, which he prepared in a decent amount of time. It was supposed to be faster and we did get the drinks for free as a compensation for the preparation time, though, we were so busy checking out the details of the place that the time waited for the food didn't bother us. I have to say, the burgers were actually delicious. Super taste of meat in a meatless burger. It could have fooled me have I not known before that it wasn't a real meat patty. I don't care much for the seating on a very hard tiled surface, despite the available cushions. And the small tables are not comfortable for use when eating or placing the drinks. They are just way too small. I have to give a few points of originality for the menu being on a monitor, though having a few printed copies would be worth it as sometimes the animated video of the menu gets stuck, like it did on this occasion, leaving us wondering what the heck was the guy telling us as we couldn't match it with what was shown on screen. It all became a good and quirky experience, which we didn't mind as the mood was on a good level that day. Your experience may vary on peak hours.

Hier gibt es immer gut Stimmung und das Essen sehr wunderbar ist. Ich empfehle sich mit ganze Hertz.

Unfassbar gute, frische, liebevoll zubereitete und abwechslungsreiche Gerichte, IMMER mit einem Lächeln serviert! Ich hole mir seit anderthalb Jahren dort täglich mein veganes Mittagessen und bin so glücklich, dass es in Bad Windsheim so einen tollen Laden gibt! <3

Einer der wenigen Orte dem ich definitiv 5 Sterne geben kann. Nicht nur wegen dem genialen essen, sondern auch wegen dem tollen Konzept und den absolut besonderen Menschen dort. Das Essen. Kreativität vom feinsten. Was man aus gespendeten und ansonsten vielleicht weggeworfenen Lebensmitteln machen kann ist immer wieder beeindruckend. Geschmacklich einfach genial, optisch einfach gigantisch und das alles vegan. Auch wenn ich als bekennender Allesfresser anfänglich skeptisch war bin ich von dem Essen voll und ganz überzeugt. Das eine Gericht (ja, man muss sich überraschen lassen und eben essen was es Grad gibt) hat mich bisher nie enttäuscht, sondern eher ab und zu zum rätseln gebracht was das sein kann und wie man das so zubereiten kann. Der Service ist dazu passend einfach authentisch. Nettere Menschen die einfach das Konzept wiederspiegeln trifft man selten. Und das Ambiente, natürlich nicht wie in einem Restaurant, aber das ist es auch nicht. Zwar zum Thema Kiosk passend, aber eben nicht direkt im Rahmen Gastronomie. Deshalb hier auch weniger Sterne, wenn für mich das auch kein Abzug in der Gesamtnote ist das es ansonsten schlüssig und einfach toll ist. Von mir für das Gesamtpaket deshalb gute 5 Sterne. So etwas erwartet man in einem Provinznest wie Bad Windsheim sicher nicht. Also lasst euch überraschen was es heute wieder gibt

Mal was ganz anderes, hätt ich nicht unter "Volxküche" erwartet. Klare Empfehlung für den täglichen Hunger mit all dem, was man sonst umgeht: Gespendete Lebesmittel vegan und kreativ von Idealisten zu was Besonderem gemacht für den Preis von a paar Bratwörscht. Bester Laden mit Konzept, das öfter kopiert werden könnte. Vielen Dank!
